2 oz. chocolate, finely cut 1 1/2 c. sugar 7 tbsp. milk 2 tbsp. Crisco 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. corn syrup 1/4 tsp. salt Place ingredients in saucepan. Bring slowly to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly, and boil briskly 1 minute. Cool to lukewarm. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread. If frosting becomes too thick, add a little milk or soften over hot water. |
