2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. nuts
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites, beaten
1 tbsp. vanilla
Mix sugar, water and Karo syrup. Cook over low heat until the mixture forms a soft ball in water. Beat the egg whites and vanilla until stiff. Add to egg white 1/2 of cooked mixture. Beat until the other half of sugar mixture is ready.
Cook 2nd half of sugar mixture until it makes a hard ball in water. Add to first half and beat until it is ready to spoon out. Add nuts. Spoon in pieces on waxed paper. Cool.
