1 c. butter 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt Work butter with a spoon until fluffy and creamy; add sugar gradually and work until light. Stir in dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Roll or pat dough to 1/4 inch thickness in a round shape. Use a fork to mark narrow wedges, like small pie wedges, or cut in shapes, squares or triangles. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until light brown. Cool and break apart wedges, if made this way. Sugar and cinnamon may be sprinkled on before baking. |
