FILLING:

1 1/2 c. water
Juice from 1 lemon
1 pkg. cut up dates

Cook until smooth. Mix: 1 1/2 c. rolled oats 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. shortening

Mix like pastry and put 1/2 in bottom of pan. Pour filling on top and then add remaining half of mix. Bake 1/2 hour at 350 degrees.
