1/2 c. Crisco
2 sticks Miracle Whipped butter

Cream well. Add alternate:

3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
4 eggs
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Mix well. Beat well after each egg. Pour in greased tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Start in cold oven.

In a saucepan, heat 3 tablespoon milk with 2 tablespoon butter. Stir 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar until smooth. Stir in 1 teaspoon lemon rind (optional) and 3 tablespoon lemon juice. Spread thinly over hot cake.
