2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
1 1/3 c. water

Grease and flour 2 (8"x8"x2") or 8" round cake pans. In medium bowl stir first 3 ingredients and set aside.

In large bowl beat next 3 ingredients at high speed until fluffy. Reduce speed to low and beat in mayonnaise. Add flour mixture in 4 additions alternately with water. Beat until just blended with each addition. Pour into pans and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Cool and ice with favorite icing.
