2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
5 egg whites, whipped stiff
1/2 c. cold water
Cream together the sugar and butter. Sift together the flour and baking powder and mix into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Add water, vanilla, and salt; mix well. Fold in egg whites. Grease and flour pans. Do not grease the sides. Bake at 350 degrees until done.
