MISS IDA'S POUND CAKE
 

1 lb. (4 c.) plain flour
1 lb. (4 c.) sugar
1 lb. (4 sticks) butter
1 lb. (10) eggs

Cream butter (room temperature) and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating slowly. Add flour a little at a time on medium speed until blended.

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until cake is brown and comes away from sides of pan. This makes a very large cake.
