2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. water 2 eggs, well beaten 1/2 c. buttermilk 2 c. sugar 2 sticks butter 3 tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. vanilla Sift flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Put butter, water and cocoa in sauce pan. Boil and pour over flour and sugar mixture. In a separate bowl beat the eggs and add soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Add to mixture and mix well. Bake in 11 x 17 inch cookie sheet pan for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Start the frosting the last 5 minutes the cake is baking. |
