WHISKEY CAKE
 

1 instant pudding coconut cream
1 pineapple supreme cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 c. Crisco oil
1 c. milk
1 c. chopped walnuts
16 maraschino cherries

TOPPING:

1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. whiskey

Cut 16 cherries in half and drain well. Place cherries on bottom of spring-side or 10 inch tube pan. Pour batter on top (cake mix, eggs, oil, milk, and nuts). Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let rest in pan for 30 minutes. Remove from pan and stab cake with a fork over complete top. Drizzle topping on top and sides.

To prepare Topping: Melt butter, then add sugar and whiskey. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
