Dump 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased pan over this spread 1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling. Spread 1/2 cup brown sugar over this. 1 teaspoon vanilla. Then mix 1 package yellow cake mix, 1 cup coconut, 1 1/2 cup pecan pieces and spread over mixture at top. Melt 1 stick butter and drizzle over cake mix. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake 48 to 55 minutes.
