DOUBLE PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE
 

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 can (1 lb. 4 oz.) pineapple slices, drained
Maraschino cherry halves
1 pkg. vanilla or yellow cake mix
Whipped cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan. Arrange drained pineapple slices and maraschino cherry halves on the sugar mixture.

Mix cake as directed on the package. Do not substitute pineapple juice for water. Beat as directed. Pour batter over fruit.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes for topping to begin to set. Then turn upside down onto a large platter. Serve warm with whipped cream.
