1 tablespoon of vegetable oil 1 cup of long grain rice 2 1/2 cups cold water 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. garlic salt or 1 tsp. garlic powder 3/4 cup of tomato sauce
In a skillet heat oil over medium heat. Add rice and cook until lightly browned. Add water and remaining ingredients, bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer until rice is tender.
