GLACE (GERMAN POTATO DUMPLINGS)
 

6 med. potatoes, cooked & mashed
1 egg
1 c. cream of wheat, quick
1 slice bread
1 stick butter (1/4 lb.)

Let the potatoes cool until you can handle them. Use a small amount of butter and brown the bread in a frying pan. Cut the bread into crouton size pieces. Mix all ingredients together and form into small balls. Let cool for 1/2 hour.

Bring water to simmering point in large pan. Cook glace 20 minutes without lid. Drain using a slotted spoon. Put on a platter and cut in half. Melt butter until brown and pour over glace.
