GREEN BEANS SUPREME
 

2 pkgs. (9 oz. each) French style green beans
1/4 c. Blue Bonnet butter
2 tbsp. instant minced onion
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. Blue Bonnet butter, melted

Cook beans according to package directions; drain if necessary. Melt 1/4 cup butter in small saucepan. Stir in onions, flour and salt. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to boil. Remove from heat and add cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.

Combine cooked green beans and cheese sauce. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Combine bread crumbs and 2 tbsp. melted butter. Sprinkle over top of green bean mixture. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 15 minutes. Serve hot.
