SARAH'S NOODLE KUGEL
 

8 oz. med. noodles
1 stick butter
1 (16 oz.) cottage cheese
4 eggs, beaten
1 pt. sour cream
1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

2 eggs
2 c. milk
Crushed cornflakes, chopped walnuts or cinnamon & sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. Cook noodles for 6 or 7 minutes. Drain and place the stick of butter on top to melt. Add the rest of the ingredients, mix and pour into prepared pan and place in center rack of oven.

For Topping: Mix 2 eggs well with 2 cups of milk. This you need to pour over the mixture already in the oven. This will appear very liquidy, it will all cook down. Bake for 30 minutes and then sprinkle cornflakes, walnuts or cinnamon and sugar over the top. Bake an additional 30 minutes at least, you will see the kugel has become dry and browned. Let set at least 20 minutes before cutting. Delicious warm or cold.

Serves 12-16.
