3 c. navy, pinto or cranberry beans 6 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 lg. onion, diced 1/2 lb. bacon, diced 1 sm. bottle catsup Rinse beans. Cook beans until done, but not mushy. (If you prefer, soak overnight, in cold water to cover, add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to water.) Add all other ingredients and bake in 250 degree oven for at least 5 hours. |
