1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
3 c. flour
Cream butter and sugars. Add flour and mix until fine as cornmeal. Take out 1 cup of mixture and save for topping. To remainder, add: 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk 1 tsp. soda 1/4 tsp. salt
Mix well and pour into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan; cover with 1 cup chopped nuts. Sprinkle on remaining flour and sugar. Bake 375 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm.
