BREAKFAST AHEAD

16 slices sandwich bread
8 beaten eggs
1/2 c. melted butter
3/8 lb. grated Velveeta
1/2 lb. cooked chopped ham, or can use Spam, Sausage, Bacon
2 c. milk

Remove crust and cut bread into thirds each way. Allow to sit out uncovered long enough to be a little dry/stale. Later put in a well buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Put in a layer of bread, then sprinkle with cheese and meat over it. Then cover with the rest of the bread.

Mix melted butter, eggs, salt, and milk; beat lightly and pour over the bread. Let it stand in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning bake at 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Serves about 6.

This recipe is great to fix when expecting weekend house guests or planning a family reunion because it can be done ahead of time allowing you more time for your guests!! Everybody loves it - so I usually make a double batch.
