CREAMY CORN CHOWDER
 

1 lg. onion, chopped fine
8 slices lean bacon, chopped very sm.
15-20 med. potatoes, cubed sm.
2 cans cream style corn
3 tbsp. sugar
2 pt. half & half
Salt & pepper to taste
4-6 tbsp. butter

1. In large pot, fry bacon on low heat. Add onions and saute until bacon is cooked and onions are transparent, stirring often with wooden spoon.

2. Peel, wash and cube potatoes. When bacon and onions are cooked, add potatoes and add water to cover potatoes. Cook on medium heat until potatoes are well cooked, but nut mushy.
