3 med. onions, chopped 2 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 lb. beef chuck, cut into 1/2 inch cubes 2 tbsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. caraway seeds 1 garlic clove, crushed 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind 4 c. beef bouillon 2 med. potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes Cook onions in butter until golden. Add beef and paprika and cook, stirring constantly until slightly browned. Add caraway, garlic, lemon rind and bouillon. Season with salt to taste. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Add potatoes and cook for 30 minutes longer. Makes 4 to 6 servings. |
