BEET OR GREEN BEAN SOUP
 

Soup meat (couple lbs.)
Bouillon (4 to 6 cubes)
Pepper corns (to taste)
Onion (1 sm.)
Pickled beets (1 to 2 cans) or 4 c. green beans
Salt to taste
Flour to thicken (about 3 tbsp.)

Add a little sugar (1 tablespoon) and vinegar (4 tablespoon) when using fresh beets or green beans.

Simmer meat in water for 1 hour and add rest of ingredients and simmer until vegetables are cooked.
