1/2 c. dried lentils 1 lg. onion, chopped 4 carrots, peeled & chopped 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 can tomato puree 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed 1 tsp. salt 4 c. water Combine lentils, water, onion, carrots and celery in large pot. Simmer gently for 2 1/2 hours. Add more water if needed. Stir in tomato puree. Add garlic salt to taste, black pepper. Heat through and serve immediately. |
