TEQUILA MARINATED SHRIMP

1 1/2 lbs. med. or lg. shrimp, peeled & deveined
1/2 plus c. bottled green taco sauce
1/4 c. olive oil
1/2 c. tequila
1/2 c. lime juice
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
Pinch garlic powder

In a fry pan, heat 1/2 of the olive oil, add the shrimp, garlic powder and a small amount of taco sauce. Saute shrimp in it just until it turns pink. (Don't over cook or your shrimp will shrink a lot.) Remove from heat.

In a bowl, mix the remainder of the ingredients, taco sauce, olive oil, tequila, lime juice, paprika and salt. Add the shrimp tossing gently to coat. Cover and chill for a few hours or overnight. Serve on wood sticks. Makes about 6 appetizer servings.
