SHRIMP WITH GREEN PEPPER
 

1 lb. lg. shrimp or prawns
1/4 c. white wine
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. dry ginger
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
Cooking oil for deep frying
1 sm. onion, sliced
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 c. diced green pepper (bell pepper)
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. catsup
3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Chopped green onion for garnish

Shell shrimp or prawns; cut heads off and devein. Slice each shrimp in half diagonally. Marinate in wine, salt, black pepper, and ginger for 20 minutes. Dredge in flour and deep fry in cooking oil.

In a skillet, saute onion, tomatoes, and green pepper. Stir in shrimp. Add water, catsup, and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer for 5-10 minute. Sprinkle with green onion and serve hot.
