SHRIMP CHOP SUEY
 

1 onion, sliced
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 3/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 c. celery, slice diagonally
1 can bean sprouts
1 can mushrooms, drained
1 lb. shrimp, cleaned & deveined
2 tbsp. soy sauce

Brown onion in oil until golden. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into onions. Add salt, paprika, celery, bean sprouts and mushrooms. Cook, stirring, until celery is tender, but crisp and mixture thickens. Add shrimp and soy sauce. Cook until shrimp is done. Serve on rice or chow mein noodles.
