1 1/2 c. macaroni (small shells, Spiral curls, etc.) 1/4 lb. cooked, cubed ham 1/4 lb. cheddar cheese, cubed 1/3 c. green pepper, chopped 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped sweet pickles Chopped pimento or red pepper, if desired Cook macaroni as directed; drain and cool. Combine with remaining ingredients. DRESSING: 1/2 to 3/4 c. mayonnaise or Miracle Whip 1/2 tsp. mustard 1/4 tsp. salt Mix dressing ingredients. Add to salad ingredients and toss lightly. Also, very good when substituting chicken for ham, swiss for cheddar cheese and adding some ripe olives. |
