2 1/2 c. boiling water 3/4 c. butter 3/4 c. sugar (or less) 1 tbsp. salt 2 pkg. dry yeast 2 eggs, well beaten 7 1/2 c. flour Mix together. Cool to lukewarm. Add eggs and dry yeast. Sift in flour, mix until well blended. Shape into ball, kneading well. Let rise in bowl until double in bulk. Punch down. Form into 2 dozen rolls and 1 loaf of bread. Or all bread. Bake 65 to 70 minutes in 400 degree oven. |
