BRAN 'N MOLASSES MUFFINS
 

1 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. molasses
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. raisins or dates
1 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine first three items and let stand until moisture is taken up. Add egg and shortening. Beat well and stir in raisins (may be omitted). Add dry ingredients and stir only until combined. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full. 400 degrees F. for 20 minutes. Makes 12 muffins.
