DUMPLINGS--CORNMEAL AND FLOUR
 

Flour
Water

Mix flour and water to form a fluffy dough. Make sure that dough is smooth and not sticky. If it is sticky, sprinkle some flour on it. Break off small portions, roll into a small ball and then flatten. Add flattened small pieces of dough to boiling water. Check with a fork to see if it's cooked. The fork should be dry when it's removed from the dumpling.

For cornmeal dumplings, add cornmeal to the flour and follow the above procedures.
