1 c. 100% Bran 1 c. milk 1/4 c. molasses 1 egg, beaten 1/4 tsp. soda 1 c. sifted flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1/4 c. melted shortening Combine bran and milk; let stand 5 minutes. Add molasses and egg. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to bran mixture. Quickly stir in melted shortening. Fill greased muffin pans two-thirds full and bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. |
