EASY NUT ROLLS
 

4 c. flour
1 lb. soft butter
16 oz. cream cheese
Almond flavor

Mix well, like pie crust. Divide into 4 or 5 round balls, wrap in wax paper and chill 2 hours. Take out 1 ball at a time. Roll out flat with flour and sugar mixed together. Cut in diamond shaped squares. Fill with nut filling. Fold tips together (brush tips with egg whites to make stick). Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until brown on top.

NUT ROLL FILLING:

5 lbs. nuts, chopped coarse
1 box brown sugar (2 c.)
2 tbsp. syrup
1/2 c. bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
1/2 c. milk or less
6 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 tbsp. + 1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond flavor

Mix all ingredients together. Chill 24 hours.
