1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 lbs. cabbage, sliced
1 tsp. caraway seeds
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
1/2 c. sour cream, optional
Melt butter in a big skillet. Saute onion until soft. Add cabbage and saute until cabbage is tender. Stir in caraway seeds, salt, and pepper.
Cook noodles as directed on the package; drain well. Stir noodles into cabbage mixture. Add sour cream (if used) and cook for 5 minutes more, stirring frequently.
