BARBECUE - STYLE CHICKEN WINGS
 

1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. finely chopped onion or 3 tbsp. dry minced onion
2 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
3 lbs. chicken wings (about 16)

For sauce, combine ketchup, onion, honey, vinegar, and garlic. Rinse chicken; pat dry. Cut off and discard wing tips. Cut each wing at joint to make 2 sections. Place wing pieces, along with sauce, in a covered container. Add chili powder to taste (optional). Cover and shake well. Marinate for 24 hours. Shake well before removing from container. Place on grill. Cook for 30 minutes, brushing with excess sauce left in container; turn wings when necessary.
