TURKEY CHILI
 

1 c. chopped onion (1 lg.)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lbs. ground turkey
1-3 tsp. chili powder (to taste)
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, broken up
1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans

Saute onion and garlic in oil in Dutch oven over medium heat until tender, stirring often. Crumble turkey into pot and cook over high heat until turkey is lightly browned, stirring often. Stir in chili powder, oregano and salt; cook 5 seconds. Stir in tomatoes. Bring mixture to boiling. Lower heat and cook slowly for 30 minutes. Stir in undrained kidney beans. Heat to serving temperature.
