BRISKET WITH POTATO GRAVY
 

4-5 lb. brisket
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 sm. can mushroom gravy
1/2 c. red dry wine
1 c. water
2 med. onions, sliced
3 lg. potatoes, sliced

Remove fat from meat. Place beef in 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with onion soup mix. Add wine and water. Top with sliced onions. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 4-5 hours or until tender. Remove beef and let cool. Add potatoes to gravy. Add water if necessary. Return to oven and cook until potatoes are tender. Place potatoes and gravy into blender and mix until smooth. Slice beef and serve with gravy. Serves 6-8 people.
