1 lg. pkg. Oreos, crumbled 1 stick butter 1 (13 oz.) can Carnation milk 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1 sq. unsweetened chocolate 1 sq. sweetened chocolate 1/2 gal. vanilla or coffee ice cream Mix cookie crumbs with 1 stick butter (melted) to make crust. Mix cookie crumbs in 9"x13" pan. Press mixture to spread evenly in pan. Chill. Soften 1/2 gallon of coffee (or vanilla) ice cream and spread evenly in pan. Chill thoroughly. Cook milk, sugar, 1/2 cup butter and chocolate in pan on medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook 10 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool chocolate, then pour over ice cream. Chill. Optional: 1 large bar of SNICKERS® candy chopped into tiny bits may be mixed into the ice cream before spreading over cookie crust. |
