GRAPENUT CEREAL PIE
 

3/4 c. Grapenut cereal
1/4 c. warm water
3 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. light Karo
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Combine cereal and water. Let stand until water is absorbed. Meanwhile, blend eggs with sugar. Add syrup, butter, vanilla and salt. Fold in softened Grapenut cereal. Pour into pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until filling is puffed completely across top. Cool and serve with Cool Whip.
