HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE PIE
 

1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
4 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 sq. chocolate

Melt chocolate over hot water and add flour, 6 tablespoons sugar and salt. Combine milk and water and add slowly to chocolate mixture stirring constantly. Cook over hot water until thick and smooth. Add egg and cook for 5 minutes. Stir constantly. Cool and add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Cover with meringue made of egg white and 2 tablespoons sugar. Bake in slow oven (325 degrees) 20 minutes.
