1 egg 1 c. sugar 3 tbsp. butter, melted 1/3 c. milk 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 4 c. firm ripe blackberries 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon Beat together egg, 1/2 cup sugar, butter and milk. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat into egg mixture. Combine blackberries, remaining ingredients. Put in oiled baking dish (12 x 8 x 2 inches). Top fruit with batter. Bake in preheated oven (375 degrees) for 30 minutes or until golden brown. |
