EASY PEACH COBBLER
 

1/2 stick butter
1 qt. peeled and sliced peaches
3/4 c. water
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar

CRUST:

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. salt

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
butter

Melt butter in 9 x 12 inch casserole baking dish. Add peaches and water. Mix flour and sugar and sprinkle over peaches. Mix crust ingredients in usual manner. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Slice in 1 1/2 inch strips. Lay crosswise over fruit in baking dish, lapping strips 1/4 inch. Combine 1/2 c. sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over top of crust. Dot with butter and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
