1 1/2 c. sugar 4 tbsp. cocoa 3 tbsp. flour 2 egg yolks 1 c. evaporated milk 1 c. water 1/4 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 baked pie shell Whipped cream or whipped topping Combine sugar, flour and cocoa in large sauce pan. In separate bowl beat evaporated milk and egg yolks. Blend into dry ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring mixture until it begins to thicken. Add water and cook again until it again becomes thick, add butter and cook until smooth. Remove from stove and add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell and allow to cool. Top with whipped cream or topping. Refrigerate. |
