1 sm. box Creamette Lasagne
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. can whole tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato paste
1 pkg. Lawry's Spaghetti Sauce Mix
1 sm. onion
1 tbsp. sweet basil
Salt, pepper, oregano to taste
1 can tomato soup
2 (1 lb.) balls Mozzarella, cut into 1/4 inch slices
1 pt. Ricotta cheese
1 can grated Parmesan cheese
SAUCE: In large electric skillet or frying pan.
1. Brown ground beef with diced onions and drain. Add whole tomatoes (chop with spatula as you stir). Add tomato paste and spaghetti mix. Add spices. Simmer for AT LEAST 1 hour. Add soup just before assembly of the dish (undiluted).
2. Cook noodles as directed on top.
3. Assembly: Spread a little sauce to cover bottom of a GLASS 9 x 13 inch pan then carefully lay noodles lengthwise on top of sauce. Place slices of Mozzarella side by side on top of noodles. Spread Ricotta cheese (1 cup) on top of each slice of Mozzarella. Shake Parmesan cheese generously over Ricotta. Top with 1/2 of sauce.
REPEAT - 1. Noodles. 2. Mozzarella. 3. Ricotta and Parmesan. 4. Sauce. Bake 1/2 hour at 350 degrees.
