SICILIAN BAKED MACARONI
 

1 lb. chopped meat (season like meatballs)
1 qt. homemade sauce OR
1 qt. Aunt Millie's marinara
3/4 c. chopped toasted almonds, fine
1 pkg. Mezzini or Ziti
Cheese (grating pecorino Romano)

Chop meat; add 1 cup flavored bread crumbs, 3 eggs, parsley, salt, and pepper. Fry chopped meat mixture in one tablespoon of oil until brown.

Cook Mezzini or Ziti 10 minutes; drain. Place sauce in bottom of pan. Scoop one layer of macaroni, sprinkle chopped almond and cheese. Top with sauce; repeat until all is used.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Enjoy!
