BATH SALT RECIPE

1 lb. Sea Salt
1/2 lb. Epsom salts
1/2 lb. baking soda
food or soap coloring, dye or pigment
1 teaspoon of food or soap fragrance oil or essence
1-2 whole Vanilla beans (optional)

Place salt in a large decorative glass jar or mix in a large bowl and divide into smaller jars for storage.

Add your choice of food or soap coloring agent to the salt and mix well until coloring is even. Salt should not be wet.

Stir in the fragrance oil or essence. Coconut oil, Citrus oil, Rose or Violet water, Cocoa butter, lavender oil, or any food or cosmetically safe ingredients can be used.

Note: One or two whole vanilla beans or a half dozen sprigs of fresh lavender can be stored in the jar, if desired. Remove after 4-5 weeks and discard.

Directions for use: Add 1/2 cup bath salt to hot bath water before bathing.
