MOCK COUNTRY FRIED STEAK
 

Yield: 4 servings. 1/4 c. milk 1 c. coarsely crushed saltines 2 tbsp. finely chopped onions 1 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 lb. lean ground beef Cooking oil

Mix egg, milk, 1/2 cup crushed saltines, onions, chili powder, salt, and Worcestershire sauce well. Add beef; again, mix well. Shape into 6 patties about 1/2 inch thick. Coat each with remaining cracker crumbs. In heavy skillet, cook the patties in about 1/2 inch hot oil over medium heat about 8 minutes on each side. Drain on absorbent paper before serving.
