WATER CHESTNUT/GREEN PEA SALAD
 

1 head lettuce, shredded
1 (10 oz.) pkg. unthawed peas
1 can thinly sliced water chestnuts
1 red onion, sliced very thin
1 c. mayonnaise + 2 tsp. sugar mixed

Shred lettuce in 13x15 inch dish. Pour frozen peas evenly over lettuce then chestnuts over peas. Onion rings over chestnuts. Spread mayonnaise over onions. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Cover with plastic wrap. Let stand 24 hours in refrigerator before serving.
