2 c. low-fat or skim milk
1 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Pepper to taste
Heat milk over medium heat and add spices. When hot add Parmesan cheese. Mix cornstarch with 2 or 3 tablespoons of milk and add to hot mixture. Heat until thickened.
Mix with fettucini noodles, spaghetti or angel hair pasta and serve. Sauce is enough to serve 4.
