BBQ SPARERIBS
 

Spareribs
1 med. chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce with tomato bits
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. pineapple juice

In saucepan combine all ingredients except meat. Simmer 20 minutes. Brown spareribs in large skillet (no flour). Add water. Pour BBQ sauce over ribs. Keep basting. Simmer until done.

Recipe for Grill: Grill ribs 4" from coals 30 minutes. Baste ribs with BBQ sauce. Cook 20 minutes longer. Add sliced pineapple to grill last 5 minutes of cooking time. Reheat rest of sauce. Serve over pineapple topped ribs. 4 servings.
