TOP OF STOVE MEATLOAF
 

1/3 lb. ground beef (about 1 c. lightly packed)
2 tbsp. uncooked rolled oats
1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper as desired
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. tomato sauce

Put all ingredients except water and tomato sauce in a bowl. Mix well. Shape into 2 loaves. Brown loaves on all sides in a greased fry pan over medium heat. Pour off fat. Add water. Pour tomato sauce over loaves. Cover and cook over low heat 30 minutes. Add more water during cooking, if needed. Makes 2 servings.
